Issue with stored procedures not displaying

May 6, 2009 at 3:03 PM
I have run into this issue on 2 different SQL installations, one 32 bit, and one 64 bit. When I run the compare it shows there are stored procedures changes, but when I click on them they don't show up in the window. Then when I go to synchronized script the stored procedures that have changes are not there. As I said this has happened on more than one server and more than one database I was comparing. Anyone else having this issue?

mmm.

Yes, I know there is some issues with stored procedures....

Can you send me the code of the SP, including all comments? (I think that the problem is that the program can't parse the store procedure in some situations).

Thanks!

I have a similar problem in Beta 7 where sps that have changed are not showing. After a bit of investigation this seems to happen when there are comments at the top of the sp as below:

-- =============================================

-- Name: [spABC]

-- Author: Joe Bloggs

-- Create date: 19/01/2009

-- Comments:

-- Changes:

-- Ref Date Who Description

-- N/A 19/01/2009 SH Script Created

-- N/A 22/06/2009 SH Update

-- =============================================

If I remove the comments the sps appear in blue as expected.

Also, it works ok in Beta 6
